Of course the WTBTS will accept the property of someone who is DFed. Hell they have accepted stock in the tabbacco and military industry left to them by will. They will fight the family for this property if necessary as they have done in the past on many occassions.

When you leave property to Watchtower....
by cameo-d inthe statutes of mortmain were two enactments, in 1279 and 1290 by king edward i of england aimed at preserving the kingdom's revenues by preventing land from passing into the possession of the church.
in medieval england, feudal estates generated taxes (in the form of incidents) upon the inheritance or granting of the estate.
if an estate was owned by a religious corporation that never died, attained majority, or became attainted for treason, these taxes were never paid.

November 2010 Awake argument against evolution: does it make sense?
by behemot inthe november 2010 issue of awake (downloadable here: http://www.jw.org/index.html?option=nbzr) contains an article about a czeck scientist (frantisek vyskocil) who became a jw.. he relates that one of the things that made him rethink his position about evolution was something he was told by an unnamed famous russian scientist and professor in the early 1970s.
the argument runs like this:.
simple bacteria can divide about every 20 minutes and have many hundreds of different proteins, each containing 20 types of amino acids arranged in chains that might be several hundred long.

You yourself started as a single cell, which divided into trillions within a nine month period.
Every 20 minutes for 46 million centuries seems enough to me, 93% of the scientific community and 100% of the nobel prize winning scientists.
Also note the Awake article stresses that this exisiting BY CHANCE is impossible, even Dawkins acknowledges this. However, by NATURAL SELECTION, it is a whole different story.
So, this guy in all his wisdom, can be counted in the 7% of believing scientists. Further, not that this guy is NOT A JW, he simply believes the Bible.

Snippets from this Watchtower are below. Keeping in mind that all articles are written with an agenda, to address problems in the organization or to pave the way for new guidelines, look at what I highlighted. My conclusions are:
1. Most witnesses have lost their zeal for preaching, hours and numbers are tanking
2. Witnesses are not submitting themselves to the elders or Governing Body rulings. This could be viewed as “brazen conduct”
3. People do not like the new songbook and many are using the song in between meetings to take a quick break – not allowed, again “Brazen conduct”!Page 10/11, paragraph 14-17
And before leaving the earthly scene, Jesus indicated that he would appoint “the faithful and discreet slave” to provide spiritual food for his people. Though quick to claim stewardship of God’s Word, have the clergy of Christendom proved to be faithful to the Master’s trust? No. They have been inclined to label what the Bible says as fable or myth (which it ofcourse is).Because of all that has been done—supposedly in the name of the God of the Bible—many sincere people have become disillusioned or have completely lost their faith in God and in the Bible.
As Jehovah’s people, we have been blessed with the knowledge of the truth about God’s purpose for mankind and the earth. Rather than feel frustrated or discouraged because Jehovah’s day seems to be delayed, we should be glad that there is still time for us to be zealous for true worship.
Page 19, Paragraph 14
Ask yourself: ‘Do I reflect Jesus’ attitude toward people in my ministry? Do I give Jehovah my best even if my health or personal circumstances might limit what I can do?’
Page 20, paragraph 18-19
And listening to God means willingly submitting oneself to the arrangement he has set in place, the Christian congregation with appointed elders, “gifts in men.” Among those “gifts in men” are the members of the Governing Body, who act in a representative way for the entire Christian congregation. In fact, our attitude toward Christ’s spiritual brothers is a major factor that will determine how we will be judged during the coming great tribulation. Thus, one aspect of the way we gain a blessing is by giving our loyal support to God’s anointed ones.Page 22, paragraph 12
Since music has an honorable place in our worship, we do well to ask ourselves: ‘Do I show proper appreciation for it? Do I do my best to arrive at meetings, assemblies, and conventions in time to join my brothers and sisters in the opening song, and then do I sing out with feeling? Do I encourage my children not to view the song[ between the Theocratic Ministry School and the Service Meeting or the one between the public talk and the Watchtower Study as a sort of intermission, an opportunity for them to leave their seats unnecessarily, perhaps just to stretch their legs?’Page 23, paragraph 16
For that and other reasons, the Governing Body approved the publication of a new songbook entitled Sing to Jehovah. The number of songs in our new book has been reduced to 135. Because there are fewer songs to learn, it should be possible for us to memorize the lyrics -

Spiritual spies
by Joey Jo-Jo ini have been reading coc and isocf in the train every morning and noticed some funny stuff occurring.. .
this witness (i knew because i have seen her before reading jw literature, she probably saw me as well before reading a jw book but we never spoke), she spotted somehow and knew that i was reading apostate books, i was on the far left of the train and she was on the far right, i have good peripheral vision and noticed her having a good look at me ( to advise the spiritual policemen) and when i turned my head to the right she would quickly look away, this happened on two occasions.. .
after a week or so i was sitting in the same spot and on the far left there was another women who i had never seen before, i didnt noticed her at all until i heard the noise of camera taking a picture (most likely a mobile making the noise of a camera when taking a picture, which most do), again i turned my head around to the right and she somehow magically fell asleep in an instance, one second she is taking a photo the other shes asleep ahahah.. .

Wow. Interesting story. Doesn't surprise me one bit though. The literature encourages ratting someone out.

We are feeding the answers to the Bethel Lurkers!!
by clarity inare we providing the material for damage control?
are we making them look credible?
like giving them a "heads up" as to what is ssoooo wrong, and they're trying to fix the fallout!
-
Designer Stubble
If you are a lurker from Bethel, I really would like to know how your conscience allows you to continue to work for such a criminal organization, while you know the facts from among others these boards. Someone fully under mind-control has an excuse, but the one doing the mind-fucking has no excuse. Perhaps they are "Just following orders" and excuse used many times in human history, as we saw at the Neurenburg trials.

Netherlands Memorial Attendance 2009/2010
by Designer Stubble ingood news!.
the dutch kingdom ministry shows the following statement:.
this year (2010) 43.372 persons attended the memorial, 100 persons took of the symbols.. the 2009 attendance figure was 51.578.. this means that 8.206 went missing in one single year, a plunge of 16%.. i get the impression that the partakes figure is going up as they now avoid the term "annointed".. .

Donations to The Watchtower
by Little Imp inin the uk we are encouraged to make our donations by bank direct debit.
i just wondered if anyone knows if a direct debit is stopped whether the local kh the doner attended gets informed?.
my husband stopped his donation some time before we completely ceased attending meetings and he has always wondered whether the elders knew.
-
Designer Stubble
Yep. Had a standing direct deposit of 75 Euros each month. One of the first pieces of information I found that lead to my departure was the child abuse and a 2007 payoff of $12.5 million and thought "I'm not paying for that" and immediately stopped the direct-deposit.

Internet penetration in the Netherlands floats between #1 and #3 in the world - so this certainly must be a root cause.
